DEATH AT STATION
A RAILWAY STOREMAN Discovered lying at the entrance of the Auckland railway station basement tearooms about 5 o'clock yesterday morning, Mr. .lames Arthur Thornton, aged 56, of 11 King's Road, Mount Roskill, died shortly after. Mr. Thornton, who was storeman of the left luggage office at the station, was found by another railway employee, who immediately went for assistance. On his return Mr. Thornton was dead. Mr. Thornton, who had been employed at tho Auckland station for many years, had suffered recently from ill-health. There will not be an inquest.
