Gallop by Pleuron Veritable raced ' disappointingly at the Waikato meeting, where he was unplaced in the Hack Cup. It was his worst effort since he" commenced racing, but it is possible that . it was only a temporary lapse. pieuron sent half a milo froir the five-furlong post to the distance, but was not timed. He must have recorded a fair gallop, however, as, eased , right up, down the straight-- he cantered_ past the winning . post to record 1.1 'l-5 for fivo furlongs. i The Dozer (Logan) was not on a timemßkincr mission while covering a mile and B-quarter, running the last three furlongs in 40 °-o"i and showing anxiousness to increase the pace.
