BATHING AT PIHA

NEED FOR CAUTION Addressing a deputation yesterday, tho Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. F. Parry, said that unhappily there wore persons who entered tho surf at points at Piha regardless of the risks. Mr. Parry pointed out that the powers to stop bathers running those risks were at present limited, and the issuing of increased authority to the club was advocated. The matter was stated to come within the province of the Marine Department and the local body of the district. The Minister spoke highly of the work of tho lifesaving societies of the Dominion.
