OVERSEAS LEAGUE

PROGRAMME OF MUSIC FINAL AT HOME FOR YEAR An enjoyable programme of musical and elocutionary items was presented at the final At Homo for this year of the Overseas League yesterday afternoon. The programme was arranged by Mrs. T. J. Wathow, and included items by Mrs. G. Stormont, Mrs. Brown Morris, Miss Beth Carrick and Mr. Robert Simmers, who sang; Mrs. Alan Tornquist, who gave violin solos; Mr.?. Sholto Smith, pianoforte solos; Mrs. J. W. Bailej' and Mrs. C. M. Rattray, elocutionary numbers. The accompanists were Mrs. Sholto Smith and Miss Stormont. A brief address was given by Mrs. St. Clair Woollams, who described tho experiences of two American friends who were survivors of the Athenia disaster. The news, which Mrs. Woollams had received by letter, contained also a description of the two survivors' rescue by the yacht Southern Cross, and their eventual transference to the City of Flint, which vessel finally landed them ashore.

Miss Anita Webster presided, and tea was later served by the hostesses.
