CROSSING FATALITY

OPENING OF INQUEST [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday An inquest into the death of Edward Wilfred Alker, aged 23, a machinery salesman, of Frankton, who was killed in a railway crossing collision at Norton Road, Frankton, last evening, was opened before tho coroner, Mr, F. W. Platts, to-day. Evidence of identification was given by Richard Seddon Alker, who said his brother had normal sight and hearing and was of sober habits. Dr. Campbell Newman D'Arcy detailed deceased's injuries. The inquest was adjourned.
