BREATHLESS EXCITEMENT

A DICTATOR STALKED "Rogue Male," by Mr. Geoffrey Household, is a short and breathless piece of excitement by a writer whoso verve and resource has already been proved in his first novel, "The Third Hour," and his book of short stories, "The Salvation of Pisco Gabar." Ilis hero, a sportsman of means, "stalks" a dictator, and gets nicely in position for a shot. Hesitating to press the trigger, he is interrupted. By a miracle, he escapes with his life; but from that moment the secret agents of the dictator harry him. He is forced to kill again and again; he hides and is found, is chased and caged and tormented; and in the end escapes and covers his tracks for ever. Tho book is splendidly alert and alive. The publishers compare it with "The Thirty-Nine Stops." and with reason. All who wish to be thrilled will find it as grimly exciting as they can desire. "Rotrue Male," by Geoffrey Household.
