CANTEEN PRICES

Sir, —With reference to the statement made by Mr. .J. W. Kendall, president of the Auckland branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association, re canteen prices to the men in camp, wo would like to state that, at the moment, every article bought from tho canteen in Ngarunwahia camp is bought at either -ruling retail prices or in sonic instances even higher, e.g., fruit and toilet requisites. It is considered. in the camp that a lower price would be more acceptable than the vaguo possibility of the shared benefits of a canteen pool. Six, Troopers.
