CHEAPER SPRING LAMB
PRICES DOWN 1D AND 2D There was a drop in the retail price of spring lamb in Auckland yesterday, according to an announcement made by the Master Butchers' Association. Prices have declined on the Westfield fat stockmarket over the last fortnight, larger entries coming forward, and it has been decided to pass the benefit of lower rates on to the public. A reduction of '2d per lb in forequarters has taken place, while oth«. j r sorts have dropped Id. The new prices are as follows:—Sides, Is 2d per lb.; hindquarters, Is 4d; forequarters, Is; legs. Is sd; loins, Is 3d; lamb chops. Is od.
