KARANGAHAPE ROAD AREA Satisfaction at tlio success of the area's community lighting scheme was expressed in a report presented to the annual meeting of the Karangahape Road Business Promotion Society. During the year collections amounted to £12.15 and a net profit of £2lB was shown. A portion of the profit lias heon applied in reduction of the capital liability to the Auckland ElectricPower Board. Apart from the community lighting account the society had a net profit for the year of £5. Reference was made in the annual report to the continued parking difficulty being experienced in Karangahape Road and proposals for an improvement had been made to the public safety committee of the Citv Council. Melvern. Mr. H. Thomson; honorary auditor, Mr. J. W. Probert; honorary solicitor, Mr. L. J. Stevens; secretary, Mr. 1. Meltzer.
