LADIES' COMPETITION r CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS SUCCESS FOR MRS. PRESTON The annual provincial ladies' champion of champions golf contest was decided at tho Titirangi Club's links yesterday, and was -won by Mrs. F. Preston, of Akarana", who finished two strokes ahead of Mrs. G. F. Ferguson, the Auckland Club champion. The conditions were difficult, there being a strong wind, accompanied by heavy showers of rain. Under tho circumstances, the scoring of the leaders was good. The best round of the dny was that of Mrs. G. F. Ferguson. Auckland, who returned an 81 in the afternoon.
