AN ISLAND HOME
NOVELIST'S PURCHASE
A well-known explorer and popular novelist, Rosita Forbes, who states that she has been looking all her life for some place of irresistible beauty to make her home, has at last found it. She has bought an island one mile long and half a mile wide in the West 'lndies. It is ' called Fleuthera and is SO miles from civilisation.
Eleuthera is not uninhabited as a small, self-supporting community has lived there for many years. Those people are thought to be descendants of William Savle, leader of a band of Puritans who tried to colonise fho island to escape persecution in Kngland. Some of tho people aro almost white. Miss Forbes' house on the island, which she has designed herself, is already in course of construction.
