QUICK TRIP TO ENGLAND
A journey of 6000 miles from Vancouver, British Columbia, to London was taken by a young Canadian girl at the outbreak of war for the express purpose of doing something to help Miss West saw the Women's Land Army headquarters and went in immediately and joined. She will start her training on the land with a tractordriving course and was signed 011 by Mrs. Walter Elliot, wife of the" Minister of Health.
Although she is only 28 Miss West has followed a varied career., having been an 0 ovator-girl in a big store, after which she tried both sweetmaking and running a shop. Finally she made bandages and dressing in a hospital. Now blio is to put on the breeches green pullover and soft hat of tho Land Armv.
