MOTHER CHARGED
j MELBOURNE WOMAN REMAND UNTIL FRIDAY A young married woman from Melbourne who was arrested on the Monterey on October 16 on her arrival from Australia appeared on remand in the j Police Court yesterday before Mr. C. 11. I Orr Walker, S.M. She was charged j with unlawfully taking an unmarried J girl under 16 out of the possession and 4 ! against the will of her parent and! guardian and the person having lawful care and charge of her! An application was made by Detec-tive-Sergeant McHugh for a' remand until October 31. Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C., representing accused, suggested that it might be convenient for the ease to be heard next Friday. A remand was granted until Friday on the same terms as previously, bail being fixed at £2OO.
