JVTangonui.—The monthly meeting was held recently, when a demonstration of hair-pin work was given by Mrs. Fisk. The competition (knitted bed jacket) was won by Mrs. Harris, with Mrs. Feisst second. The hostesses were Mrs. Wrathal] and Miss Wilton. Albany.—An account of a holiday abroad was continued by Mrs. Armstrong at the monthly meeting. Mrs. Kitzwilliam gave tlie two-minute talk [ for the afternoon. The competition was won by Miss F. A. Blackett. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Avondale.—An address on the lifo and work of Mussolini was given by Mrs. Irwin at the monthly meeting, at which Mrs. Tate presided. Mrs. Ross demonstrated the making of papier mache dolls and plaster casts. An institute spoon was presented to Mrs. Hannan. the mother of the first baby born to a member. Luncheon was served.

Lichfield. The president, Mrs. Wooderson. presided at the monthly meeting. The hostesses were Mrs.- Vincent and Mrs. Bevvies. Mrs. Hamilton arranged two competitions, the first being won by Mrs. Pefferell, and the second by Mrs. Pefferell, and Mrs. Boyles. The points competition (sugar bag apron) was won by Mrs. Ranger, with Mrs. Burgess second.
