STRANDED HOLIDAY-MAKERS

The holiday-makers wlio were stranded at Ostend on Monday night returned to Auckland by steamer ves-. terday. There were more _ than 80 people involved and the majority returned to the city by two steamers which made the trip to W&lheke Island early yesterday morning. The vessels made further trips in the afternoon. Among the afternoon passengers were a partv of you nj** men who- had been affected bv ptomaine poisoning m a seaside cottage at Onetangi .on Monday. All were fully recovered.
