NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ALLOCATION TO AUCKLAND Delegates to tho New Zealand WeightLifters' Association from all parts of the Dominion attended a meeting in Auckland to dccido the policy of tho association during tho war, and after a lengthy discussion it was unanimously decided to carry on tho usual activities. The honorary national secretary, Mr. K. J. Mitchell, of Wellington, advised that tho Auckland Contre had been allotted tho fourth national championships, which would bo held in tho Lewis Lady Hall on October '-'I. Tho Aucklander Harold Gleghorn, Now Zealand and Australian heavyweight champion, will attempt to establish a total on the Olympic lifts to qualify, for his inclusion in the New Zealand Olympic team. The Auckland provincial championships will bo held to-inorrow evening at lhe Auckland branch gymnasium, in the Hall of Commerce buildings.
