EXPORT OF TROUT OVA
AUSTRALIA AND FIJI PROPOSAL BY GOVERNMENT [BY TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL REPORTER] WELLINGTON, Monday "The vrork of stripping trout of their eggs for hatching in the State hatcheries at Rotorua and at the Tongariro River, lias begun in several streams of the thermal district," said the Minister of Internal Affairs, tho Hon. W. E. Parry, to-day. "We aro making efforts to export to Australia and possibly to Suva some of the ova collected this season. "We have first of all to see if wo have sufficient ova for the restocking of our fishablo lakes and streams before we send supplies out of the country," added the Minister.
