BRITISH RAILWAYS DISPUTE DETERMINATION OF UNIONS l LONDON, August 4 British railway companies' employees and managers are to confer on tho wqges issue on October 10, the unions having undertaken not to strike while the negotiations are in progress. "But," they say, "the fight is on." The men claim an increase of Is per day, with 12 instead of six days' annual leave. If the claim is rejected, a strike which will involve 53,000, is threatened.
