An East versus West match will bo the concluding fixture for tho season. East players will be drawn from tho Cambridge, Matamata, Putaruru and Morrinsville sub-unions, and players for the West side from Hamilton, Raglan, Taupiri and the'- Walpa subunion. The gamo will be played at Cambridge.

WHANGAREI, Monday Two further nominations for the North Island minor unions' Rugby team to play the South Island have been made by the North Auckland Union. They arc B. Wordley and N. Gibson. The former has represented Nortii Auckland silica 11)32, and was a member of the l!): 5 .-") Maori, All Blacks. Gibson has been playing representative football fo? North Auckland for two seasons. Those previously nominated by the North Auckland Union were:—Backs, R. White, G. Cunningham. D. Codling, N. Lamblyr forwards, W. Cooper and Williams. GAMES IN COUNTRY MATAMATA BEATS NORTHCOTE Rugby football matches were continued, in country centres on Saturday. The following results were forwarded by correspondents of the ller.u,d: — Matamata. —A Rugby match played at Matamata between Northcote (Auckland) and the Matamata Clab was won by the latter by 8 points to 3. The - weather was very cold and wet, and playing conditions were bad. G. Ryan and A. Gibson ,'cored for Matamata. K. Fitzgerald convertinr one firy, while R. Aro scored for the visitois. In tt.o Concrete Cup games. Hinuera and Wairore drew, nil all, and Paletere and Wardvillo drew, 3-all. In a junior representative match Putaruru defeated Matamata by S points to 3. Vernall and Berg obtained tries for the winners, the latter also kicking a penalty goal, while Bellamy scored a try for Matamata.

Te Puke. —After a lapse of three weeks, the Te Puke Rucby Union's competitions were continued in stormy weather at Jubilee Park. Paengaroa met Rangiuru, the former winning by S points to 3. As a result 01 the heavy rain, play was necessarily restricted to the forwards, the superior fitness and team work of the Paengaroa pack being sufficient to give the team a win. In the Paengaroa team, McKenzie played an excellent game in the backs, his handling of tho wet ball being faultless. In the forwards, Ruebe, as usual, worked hard both in the tight and the loose, while good support, was given by Hughes. In the Rangiuru team, Richmond played well in the backs, whilo the pick of the forwards were Johnson and Kingi. For Paengaroa, Ruebe scored ; a tnr, which was converted by McKenzio, while Hughes kicked a penalty goal. Rangiums' points came from a try scored by Johnson. In the other senior match, Rotoehu defaulted to Papamoa. In the junior . grade Papamoa brought about a surpriso by defeating the leaders, Old Boys, by 6 points to 4. In the other game, Rangiuru defeated Paengaroa by 3 points to 0. Rodney.—Results of matches placed on Saturday were:—Port Albert, 2S, United, 6; Wellsford, 13, Matakana. 3; Central, 12. Puhoi, 3. INTER-HOUSE MATCH A match played durlug the week-end the Ellerslie Domain Smith and Brown and Railways resulted in a win for the latter team by 13 points to 5. Railway's points came from tries by Kinney (3) Mincham (2), the latter also converting two. For Smith and Brown, Wilkinson scored a try, which was converted by Pountney.
