NEW WOMEN'S CLUB
VARIED ENTERTAINMENT An amusing play and a programme of vocal and instrumental music delighted the large audience of members and friends at the New Women's Club last week. The rooms were bright with bowls of mimosa, while the numerous entries in the flower competition added colour to the scene. Mrs. A. Gladding, vice-president, presided. Winners in the Jlower competition were: —Mrs. Ogden, with a vase of flowers, and Mrs. Clias. Gill, (i shoulder spray. Ail exceptionally large number of entries of a very high standard was received for the arts and crafts display of felt llownr work. The winner in this section was Mrs. Williams, Among those who 'contributed items were Miss Duleie Mitchell, Mrs. Parry, Mrs. MacQuarrie, Mrs. lluff and Mr. Parry. The accompanists were Mrs. Bollard and Mrs. Harper-Whit©. Elocutionary items were given by Mrs. Burley. Taking part in a one-act play were xMrs. Goodridge, Mrs. Tugby, Mrs. Allan, Mrs. Gladding, Mrs. Fnrquhnrson and Mrs. Wallace. The hostesses were Mrs. W. K. Tugby and Mrs. F. G. Bishop.
