PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
COLLECTORS' EXPERIENCE REPORT TO POWER BOARD Collectors and men in the field generally in the employ of the Auckland Electric-Power Board note a decided tendency toward a hardening of conditions, and state that they are not finding consumers able to pay their accounts as readily as has been the case in the past. This was mentioned by the general manager, Mr. 11. JEL Hartley, in a report to the board yesterday. Mr. Bartley reported, however, that ho did not think this position could be very marked* He had not been called upon to deal with the number of extra cases that would lead him to form this conclusion. He did not think the position was one that called for any immediate anxiety.
