YACHT MISSING
CREW OF THREE ABOARD CHATHAM ISLANDS REPORT PATROLS SEARCH COAST [BY TELEGBAPH PBESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Monday A radio message received by the Director-General of tho Post Office, Mr. J. 6. Young, from the superintendent of the Chatham Islands radio station states that, the captain of the trawler South Sea has reported that the yacht Faith, with a crew of three, left the trawler off the north coast luxe on Saturday night during a gale and has not returned yet. t • Patrols searched 'the coast in the proximity of the trawler's position and continuous radio connection was made with the South Sea. A' warning has been Broadcast to shipping to keep a look-out. The radio station reported later that the patrols had returned at nine o'clock to-night, there being no sign of the yacht or its crew. The captain of the South Sea advised further that he intended sending out. five launches tomorrow morning;);, to continue tho search. CHRISTCHURCH OWNER STOUTLY-BUILT CP .4 FT [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday The yacht Faith, reported to be missing off tho Chatham Islands, is owned by Mr. W. Marsh, of Christchurch, and had been fishing, at the islands for some months. Those on board when she parted company with the trawler South Sea were Mr. Marsh, his brother, Mr. J. Marsh, and Mr. Roy Hough, a Chatham Islander.The Faith was built in Christchurch by Mr. Marsh and early this year made a trip from Lyttelton %o the Chatham Islands and back. She is a stoutly-built craft of a sea-going type similar in design to Erling Tambs' famous boat Teddy. -
