CRITICALLY INJURED
CYCLIST AT TAKAPUNA MACHINE AND LORRY COLLIDE As the result of a collision between his bicycle and a motor-lorry at the intersection of Hurstmere Rond and Ansae Street, Takapuna, shortly before seven o'clock last night, Ross Edward Reynolds, aged 17, son of Mr. A. E. Reynolds, of 93 Hurstmere Road, suffered severe- head injuries. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, his condition at a late hour being critical. The lorry, which was driven by Mr. F. W. Page, a greengrocer, of Mairangi Bay, was travelling along Hurstmere Road toward Hall's Corner when the collision occurred. The injured youth was given attention by Dr. P. Andrew, of Takapuna, whose homo is not far from the sceno of the accident, before ho was taken to hospital in the Devonport ambulance.
