SAFETY LAMP DAMAGED OFFENDER FINED £3 [DV TKLKGHAPTI —PflF-S-S ASSOCIATION] C, HEY MOUTH, Monday In the Magistrate's Court to-day Thomas Brown was fined X'.'! for damaging a safety lamp issued to him in tlio Dobson mine. Counsel for the company said Brown was seen tampering with his lamp. The safety of over 100 men was endangered as the result of defendant's ioolish action. Mr. K. .15. Ferner, S.M., described tlie offence as serious. He said he did not remember dealing with a similar case.
