DEATH OF BABY

SUFFOCATED IN BED Death by suffocation was the verdict given by the coroner. Mr. F. Iv. Hunt, at an inquest yesterday into the death on Sunday of a baby aged five weeks. The child was Harold Iluka, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Ruka, of 98 Franklin Road, Mrs. Ruka stated that she fed the baby at 2 a.m. on Sunday and that when she woke later in the morninn the child was found to be dead. The coroner emphasised the importance of mothers exercising great care when placing their children in bed after feeding. '
