105 YEARS OLD
DUNEDIN RESIDENT MRS. EMMA HARRIES [BV TEJjEGBAPH—OWN cohkksvondbnt] DUNEDIN, Monday •Mrs. Emma Harries will celebrate tomorrow her 105th-birthday, as her birth eerlifieato testifies. She still enjoys remarkably good health; and her eyesight is good, although her hearing has failed slightly.
Winter chills have kept her confined to bed for some time during the past few months, but this enforced rest has not been altogether to her taste. Mis.. Harries was born at Bermondse.v on July IS, 1834. She lived in Australia for 20 years, and there she married. She arrived at Port Chalmers in 1888, and was widowed eight years later. She now lives with her niece, Mrs. M. A. McFadycn.
