ANNUAL BALL
SOOTS' COLLEGE OLD BOYS
[by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] WELLINGTON, Sunday
Old boys of Scots College from as far north as Auckland and from the South Island gathered at the Majestic Lounge on Friday night for their annual Old Boys Ball, which is always one of the most popular dances of thn Wellington season. Numerous dinner and cocktail parties were held before the ball, and it was a happy band of people that, danced until the early hours of the morning. Much merriment was made when the College Pipe Band, resplendent in their kilts, played some exceedingly spirited dances. The lounge had been attractively decorated with festoons of red, grey and black, the college colours, with here and there replicas of the college coat of arms.
The hostesses for the evening were: Mrs. I. M. Plimmer, wife of the new president of the Old 803 - s Association; Mrs. A. H. Campbell, wife of the retiring president; Mrs. K. W. R. Glasgow, wife of the principal of the college; Mrs. E. Fraser and Mrs. D. W. Virtue.
