GIRL GUIDES' DANCE
BRIGHT DECORATIONS NORTH SHORE COMPANY FUNCTION AT DEVONPORT , Bowls of arum lilies, poinsettias hydrangeas decorated the Navy League Hall at Devonport on Saturday night, when an enjoyable dance in aid of funds for the North Shore Girl Guides' Company was arranged by the ladies' committee. The guests were received by the president, Mrs. 11. Corbett, and members of the committee, who were in charge of the arrangements comprised: Mrs. G. H. Robins, Mrs. W. J. Murfitt, Mrs. J. N." Waddell, Mrs. J. R. Spicer, Mrs. L. Melhose, Mrs. 13. L. Martin, Mrs. E. Mullan, Mrs. H. H. Edwards, Mrs. A. W. Joughin, and Mrs. A. E. Pvatt. During the evening a solo dance was performed by Miss Iris Petersen, and an exhibition dance was given by little Ngaio Murfitt and Shirley Brain.
Among those present were: —Mrs. B. Dawson, Mrs. R. Gibson, Mrs. J. Edwards, Mrs. G. Cade, Mrs. G. Badonich, Mrs. G. Zanc, Miss D. Meiklejolin, Mrs. J. Nettleton, Mrs. L. Brain, Mrs. W. Fisher, Mrs. F. Warren, Mrs. A. A. Jarvie, Miss Tally Nettleton, Miss Dawn Brain, Miss Eileen Watson, Miss Helen Carmichael, Miss Marie Griffiths, Miss Deidre Nettleton, Miss Nada Mullins, Miss Jo Robins, Miss Mario Griffiths, Miss Helen Waddell, Miss Doreen Mills. Miss Margaret Bruce, Miss Aileen Nilson, Miss Sybil Johnson, Miss A. Blake, Miss Phyllis Whitcombe, Miss Barbara Hawksworth, Miss Shirley Craig and Miss Audrey Rawlings.
