DOMINION DEBATERS
STUDENTS IN AUSTRALIA CASH DIFFICULTY IN SYDNEY (Received Juno 25, 0.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 25 The two New Zealanders Messrs. J. B. Aimers and M. G. O'Callaghan, who will represent New Zealand University in a debate against Sydney University, said their chief amusement since their arrival from New Zealand had been trying to pass New Zealand money. They added that tho New Zealand Government's policy was import selection. That it was not restriction was proved by the fact that imports this year were greater than those of Inst year.
Tho debaters drew with a Queensland University team, taking the negative in a debate: "That we have more to learn than to fear from Fascism."
In the absence of Mr. Aimer, who was indisposed, Air. O'Callaghan played a commendable lone hand in affirming "that tho daily newspaper fails to fulfil the true functions of journalism" against Queensland students. There was no adjudication. Mr. O'Callaghan was warmly applauded.
