GOLDEN WEDDING
AUCKLAND RESIDENTS CELEBRATIONS AT TE AROHA The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Flowerdav, of Royal Oak, will be celebrated to-day at Te Aroha, at a gathering of members of the family and intimate friends, including one of the bridesmaids at the wedding, Mrs. E. Dowling, •of Auckland.
Mr. and Mrs. Flowerdav are pioneer residents of New Zealand, Mr. Flowerday having been born in Nelson and his wife in the Opotiki district. They wore married at the residence of the Rev. A. C. Sou tar, at Otara, on June 26, ISB9, and for manvvyears were engaged in farming in tlio Bay of Plenty district. Since their retirement over :?0 years ago, they have lived in Auckland. The celebrations are to be held in Te Aroha to enable all members of the family to attend the reunion. There are throe sons and two daughters living. Messrs. Frank and James Flowerdav (Te Aroha), Mr. Charles Flowerdav (Morrinsville), Mrs. W. H. Richardson (Thames) and Mrs. Gilbert G. Hill (Auckland), and 16 grandchildren.
