EX-SERVICE WOMEN
ASSOCIATION PARTY FAREWELL TO A MEMBER TRIBUTE TO ACTIVITIES A happy farewell party of old and new members of the Auckland ExService Women's Association was held in the Overseas League rooms on Saturday afternoon in honour of C. Jacob, who will shortly leave New Zealand to reside in England. Mrs. Jacob has been an active member of tlio association for many" years, while her husband has also given valuable service as honorary secretary.
The president, Miss E. N. Nutsey, M.8.E., A.R.R.C., presented Mrs. Jacob with a miniature of the association badge, and spoke of her valuable work among returned men in Auckland, and their families. Mrs. E. M. Gould, past-president, presented Mrs. Jacob with a posy of violets tied with ribbons in the association's colours, while Mrs. R. T. Michaels, senior life member, presented Miss Nutsey with a posy. Recitations were given by Miss Dennison, while Mrs. Keith Buchanan sang several songs, including a Maori song of farewell. The accompanist was Mrs. Preston Thomas.

Members stood in silence as a tribute to the memory of a late vice-president of tlio association, Miss J. Teape.
