SURVEY FINISHED GIJBA LEAVES FOR AMERICA MANY CONGRATULATIONS SUCCESS- OF GREAT TASK By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received Juno 23, 5.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 23 A message received from Mombasa, East Africa, states that the Indian Ocean survey flying-boat Guba left there to-day for Kisumu, Kenya, en route to New York. Tho loader of tho expedition, Captnin P. G. Taylor, bade farewell to Mr. llichard Archbold and his American crew. 3Tany congratulatory telegrams were received by tho party from Australia and other parts of tho world on tho successful accomplishment of the Indian Ocean survey.
Captain Taylor has accepted an invitation from tho manager of tho Central African branch of Imperial Airways, Limited, to a luncheon, when all tho aspects of tho recent flight will be discussed.
The members of the expedition were agreeably surprised at tho excellent climate and tho services in tho modern hotels at Mombasa.
