MAIN SOUTH ROAD
WORK NEAR OTOROHANGA ALIGNMENT MUCH IMPROVED [FROM OUU OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Friday Tho reconstruction of tho main south road between To Awamutu and Otorohanga has been completed except for half a mile near Otorohanga. A bridge over the railway line at Otorohanga is being built. Great improvements have been made in tho grade and alignment of the road between the two towns, and many dangerous corners and steep grades have been eliminated. A bridgo over the Mangaorongo Stream at Kiokio has been built in ferro-concreto. Tho bridge has been designed on a curve with a 15-cliain radius, which has been provided to improve the approaches. For a distance of six miles 60 chains houtli of the Waipa County boundary the road has been tar-sealed and it is expected that the remainder will be permanently surfaced before Christmas,
