TE PUKE BRANCH OFFICERS [FROM OUR OWN correspondent] TE PUKE, Friday There was a large attendance, at the annual meeting of the To Puke' branch of tho .Farmers' Union. The retiring president, Mr. A. Hyburn, presided. "There is a realisation among farmers that their livelihood is at. stake." said the president in his report, when accounting for the sudden increase in interest in the movement. The election o! officers resulted:— President, Mr. 1). Vercoe; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. D. C. Cowdrcv and K. Bennett; secretary, Mr. T. Lennard; auditor, Mr. .T. T. Kccleton; committee, Messrs. H. Me Mid owner, A. Rvbiirn, A. Morton, T. Cheetham, G. Brown, E. Tanner, W. Burt, T. Heatheriugton.
