FANCY DRESS DANCE
ST. PATRICK'S SCHOOL The Manchester Unity Oddfellows' Hall presented a gay and animated scene this week, when the children of St. Patrick's School assembled for their annual fancy dress ball. The variety and originality of the costumes made a difficult task for the judges, Mrs. Mills. Mrs. Kerr. Miss Mills, Miss Kerr and Miss Whitty. The grand march, led by .John and Xgaire Stedman. was formed by about 150 pupils. A varied programme of folk and ballroom dancing was interspersed with competitions in fancy and national dancing. Miss M. Kenible and Miss P. Woods having charge of the juniors and seniors respectively. Dr. L. T. Buxton, assisted by Father Kennefick, presented the prizes to the children, after which a dance was held for the adults.
