PLATE AND BRONZE
- COLLECTION AT MUSEUM An opportunity of viewing reproductions of silver plate, illustrating the degree of perfection attained by the gold and silversmiths in England, is afforded the public of Auckland in an exhibition at present on view at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. The collection, which also includes examples of Italian bronze work, has been lent bv the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, throngh the Eaipire Art Loan Society. The Italian collection comprises statuettes and such everyday household ohjects as candlesticks, ink stands and knockers. One section of tho exhibition is devoted to European ironwork.
