NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
OPENING BY MINISTER [by telegraph—OWN coukespoxdent] TAUMARUNUI, Friday The Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Fraser, t officially opened the new primary school building at Taumarunui yesterday. Ho said special grants for educational buildings since the Labour Party took office amounted to £3,046,000. of which £2,095,000 had been utilised. A deputation from tlio Parents' Association asked for an intermediate school to be established. Tho Minister said such a school would cost from £30,000 to £40,000, and they had many applications for these schools.
