TAKANINI DOINGS SOME SMART GALLOPS MARIE'S ACRE 'GOES FREELY - SOLID FIVE WITH BRAZILIAN The outside grass provided excellent going at Takanini 011 Saturday. Valamito (Collett) ran the last six of seven furlongs in 1.18 2-5. Valamito did not appear to work as well as usual, but may have gone better in company. Vaalso (Smith) got tho better of the start in his gallop with Tahiti (Clark), and maintained his advantage to the end of five furlongs in 1.4 3-5. Tepoto (Parsons) apd Inver (Coleman) were associated over six furlongs in 1.16, a useful effort on the part of both. The honours vvere with Tepoto. Hound Up (Smith) and Anion (lngl is) ran an easy seven furlongs in 1.41, both showing a desire to increase the pace. Tho Koxbridge-—Flying Juliet filly (Kingi) and the Vaals —Sea Song filly (Michel) were impressive in a sprint over a couple of furlongs, both hitting out well.. Pleuron (Beguely) and Milanion (Parkinson) were associated over six furlongs in 1.17 3-5, tho former hying a slight advantage throughout. Jack Tar (Parsons) was sent seven furlongs and finished strongly to record 1.33. Tip Toes Improving Tip Toes (Coleman) covered the last six of sefen furlongs 111 1.19.
