This will be followed by a motor tour through the Lake District and Scotland. Miss Macdonald has joined the British Massage Corps, and expects to be 'called up immediately in the event of a war There was a large attendance at the monthly dance of the Halcyon Club, hold in the Y.W.C.A. hall on Saturday night. The hall was decorated with streamers of pastel shades, arranged to suggest a Maypole, the function being a "Maytime" dance. Streamers, balloons and novelties added to the gaiety of the scone. An accordion solo was given by Mr. Roy Bruce.
