Callahan, rider of Tosh, was charged under Rule. 289 of the Rules of Racing with causing interference to Race Call. The stewards, after hearing evidence from Callahan and W. Jenkins, rider of Race Call, were satisfied that Tosh interfered with Race Call, but they considered that the occurrence took placo through Tosh, under pressure, going across on the fence. They found that the interferentto was accidental, and decided to take no further action.

The stewards considered that the evidence given by Jenkins was unsatisfactory, and decided to fino him £5, under* Rule 214, part 2. Mr. F. Porter, owner of Gitana Lass, and Mr. J. A. McKenna. owner of Pretty Lass, were fined £5 under Rule 242 for not notifying the club of a joint interest. ,

WINTER SHOW TROTTING SUCCESS OF TELEVISION Tho pacing gelding Television, who won a race at Ngaruawahia, and showed up prominently for a good part of the Devonport Handicap at tho Auckland Trotting' Club's Autumn Meeting, was responsible for an encouraging effort in winning the Cornwall Handicap at the Winter Show on Friday night. Driven by his trainer, C. H. Goodall, Television quickly went to the front and, increasing tho lead on each lap of tho twofurlong track, won by a substantial margin in 2.54, one of the best efforts yet recorded on the showground course.
