£20,000 STATE LOAN
POWER BOARD SCHEME THAMES VALLEY EXPANSION [by TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE' AROHA, Friday The sum of £20,000, part of a £90,000 loan, will be borrowed by the Thames Valley Electric-Power Board to finance new work during the current year. A decision to this effect was made at a meeting of the board. Sanction for the loan was by the Local ]3odies Loans Board some time ago. All of tlw? loan will bo used for new work, and the maintenance of existing electrical facilities and lines will be paid for out of revenue as usual. Tho manager; Mr. .11. Sprague, stated that ho had seen tho State Advances Corporation and Treasury officials in Wellington recently and they had assured him of the grant being made.
