WARSHIPS' MOVEMENTS
THE LEANDER FROM SYDNEY ACHILLES DUE ON MONDAY Three naval vessels will arrive at Auckland within the next few days, the first being H.M.S. Leander, which is due from Sydney this morning. H.M.S. Achilles, which left'for England last December, is expected to arrive from Portsmouth on Monday. The French sloop Dumont d'Urville, which has replaced the Rigault de Genouilly on the Pacific base, is due at Auckland on Tuesday and will berth at Western Wharf. An announcement that the Devonport Naval Base would be thrown open on Monday for relatives and friends of the personnel of the cruiser Achilles was made by the naval authorities yesterday. The actual arrival time of the cruiser is not yet known.
