GIRL HIT BY TRAIN
THROWN FROM BICYCLE ESCAPE FROM SERIOUS INJURY [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday A fortunate escape from serious injury was experienced by Norma Hill, the eight-year-old daughter of Mr. H. B. Hill, of Marama Street, Hamilton, when she was struck by a train while riding a bicycle over the Lake Road crossing yesterday. She was thrown clear by the engine for a distance of about loft. The girl, who was on her way home, suffered lacerations, bruises and shock. She received medical attention at her home.
