BRIDE IN CREAM SATIN Pink and gold chrysanthemums decorated St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton, on Wednesday morning, for the wedding of Miss Dorothy Edith Powell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Powell, of Hamilton, and Mr, C. J. Veen, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Veen, of Taumarunui. Tho Very Rev. Dean Weathorhog officiated at the ceremony, and the organist was Mr. E: H. Apthorp. The bride, who entered the cathedral with her father, looked charming in a gown of cream satin beaute, fashioned with a high neck, full sleeves tightening to the wrists, and ending in points over the hands, and very full gored skirt. A billowing white train was formed by tho veil of ivory tulle, which, attached to a top-knot, of orange blossom, was worn over the bride's face as sho entered the cathedral. She carried a bouquet of pink and gold chrysanthemums. Tho bridesmaid, Miss Olive Edwards, of Patea, Taratiaki, cousin of the bride, wore a graceful frock of lilac georgette, made with an Old English bodice, trimmed with violet flowers. A coronet of violet flowers, formed her headdress, with a small lilac neck veil, falling at the back. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and violet bougninvilloa.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. H. B. Veen, of Te Rore, as best man.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Centrewny, al tended only by relatives and close friends. The guests were received by Mrs. E. S. Powell, assisted by tho bridegroom's aunt, Mrs. L. E. Rice; Mrs. Powell wore a black costume, with black hat and furs. Mrs. Rico was in a navy blue costume, with black fox furs and navy blue toque.

The bride travelled in a London tan costume and hat, with toning accessories. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Veen's future home will be in To Rore.
