PLUNKET SOCIETY
NORTHCOTE COMMITTEE A meeting of the Northcote committee of the Plunket Society was held last night. The president, Mrs. A. Campbell, presided. Appreciation was recorded of the services given by Mrs. W. P. Hay, Mrs. A. E. Stilwell, Mrs. A. E. Clark and Mrs. A. J. W. Hodder, who had retired from tho committee.
The nurse, Miss Jessie Bursell, reported 90 visits to the Northcote rooms during April by 41 adults. 41 babies, and eight older children. There was one new case.
Appreciative references were made to the work of Mrs. J. W. Lethbridge as secretarv, and a vote of thanks was passed for her services. Mrs. P. J. Hawke and Mrs. F. C. Truman were appointed joint conveners of the Truby King Junior League, the membership of which was given at 69. Appreciation was conveyed in a communication from the matron of the Karitane Hospital for the box of garments made by the Northcote members of the Karitane sewing circle. The president intimated that the committee was represented at the Northcote Anzac Day ceremony, when a wreath was laid on behalf of the society on tho Northcote War Memorial.
