SOCIAL AFTERNOON
CALEDONIAN SOCIETY A social afternoon to mark the second anniversary of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Otahuhu Caledonian Society was held in the Gas Company's rooms. The president, Sirs. R. A. Archibald, welcomed a large attendance of members and representatives of the St. Andrew's Ladies' Auxiliary of Auckland.
The programme was contributed by the visiting representatives and consisted of songs by Sirs. D. SlcLaren and Sirs. Henderson, duets by Mrs. Black and Sirs. Slassicks, and elocutionary items by Sirs. J. Shields. The president ol' the Auckland auxiliary. Sirs. J. K. Black, gave a short address and congratulated the Otahuhu organisation on its progress. A birthday cake was cut by Sirs. J. SI. Deas, past president, who thanked the visiting artists. Afternoon tea was served by the committee.
