RUGBY FOOTBALL

SENIOR COMPETITION ATTRACTIONS AT EDEN PARK PONSONBY TO MEET TECHNICAL Competition matches under the control of the Auckland Rugby Union will be continued at Eden Park this afternoon when several interesting contests should be witnessed. The Ponsonby team, if at full strength, should be difficult to dispose of in the principal attraction against Technical Old Boys. Tile Ponsonby back line may prove troublesome to Technical, but the latter team, after its good displays aeainst Grafton and Manukau, may cause a surprise. Technical has a young fifteen, which is improving. Grafton should be fully extended in its match with Training College in the curtainraiser. Last week Training College was narrowly defeated by Ponsonby, and its reappearance at No. l ground will be welcomed by Eden Park patrons. Marist should prove too stronger North Shore at Devonport but on its homo ground North Shore should give an improved display. An even contest is expected at Onehunga where Grammar will meet Manukau.
