South matches; 19 had been played in Wellington, seven in Christchurch, two in Auckland, two in Dunodin, and one each in Napier and Invercargill. Wellington was tho logical place for tho match, but surely tho largest town in Now Zealand and the largest union ■was entitled to more than two *of 82 matches., "We would liko tho council to play the match in Wellington this year,. Canterbury next year if they would like it, and Auckland the following year, and rotate it in that order," he added. The motion was carried without disA resolution, moved by. Mr. A. A.
