PRESENTATIONS
On the eve of his retirement after 42 years' service with Brown and Stewart, Limited, Mr. Charles Takle was farewelled at a recent gathering of the staff. In presenting Mr. Takle with an oak writing desk, Mr. R. L. Stewart referred to the growth of the firm and said that its progress, was in 110 small measure due to Mr. , Takle's loyalty and hard' work.
A presentation to Mr. A. S. Ciiffe, headmaster of the Frankton school, who is leaving to take up an appointment as headmaster at Katikati, was made by children, of the school. Mr. R. P. Kilham, chairman of the school committee, Messrs. S. B. Sims and F. A. Snell, representing the Auckland Education Board, parents and old pupils, were also present at the function. Members of the staff also presented Mr. Ciiffe with an electric clock.
The supervisor of the Morrinsville Post OfTice for the past 10 years, Mr. 0. V. Lattimore, was farewelled by the staff of the post office prior to his departure to take up the position of postmaster at Otorohanga. A presentation of a wristlet watch was made.
