ENJOYABLE DANCE

RUGBY LEAGUE FUNCTION SYDNEY PLAYERS WELCOMED LARGE NUMBER OF GUESTS Green palms made a cool and inviting setting at the Peter Pan Cabaret last night, when the first dance of the season was held by the social committee of the Auckland Rugby League. The dance wasi also made the occasion to welcome the Eastern Suburbs team from Sydney at present visiting Auckland. A large attendance of dancers assured the success of the evening, and a novel idea, the distribution of Easter eggs among the guests, .added to the enjoyment and the holiday spirit. The guests were received by the chairman of the ball committee, Mr. A. Ferguson, assisted by Mrs.* Ivan Culpan, who wore a frock, of black silk sheer, with rhinestone trimming. The ladies' committee included Mrs. C. Howe, who wore mulberry satin; Mrs. T. Chermside, lacquer red georgette; Mrs. I. Stonex, black crushed velvet. Mrs. R. Doble, magnolia floral angelskin; Mrs. A. Scott, dahlia pleated georgette, with a striped corselet belt.
